We audited the model, removed fragile assumptions, and rebuilt the core metrics (cohorts, retention, contribution margin, CAC payback) into a single “metrics spine” used across the deck, model, and updates. Then we prepped the top diligence questions with clean, defensible answers. The outcome: investor conversations shifted from “how did you calculate that?” to “what happens if we invest?”, and the founder stayed in control of the room.
